Recently I posted in here about being at a tipping point with my position.
Reaching my boiling point : antiwork (reddit.com)
I was able to get my points across to who I felt needed to be aware of the issues, which was my primary concern with my position.
I was able to negotiate a substantial raise.
I was able to negotiate permanent WFH with the opportunity should I want it to move into a higher “senior management” position.
All of that was able to help me achieve a longer-term family goal as well and allow us to relocate across country while both staying employed.
It's just sad that change is so hard to generate without having to take such risks. My boss, who I have a good relationship with, is aware of some of my past challenges in life and without him knowing I have no issues simply picking up and going, I do not feel this would have been an obtainable outcome.
