Trying to find a job…it sucks

I am 57 years old. I have been a nurse (LPN) for over 20 years. It would seem like it would be easy for me to find a job right? Not when you are 57 and body is broken from years of taking care of people ( and yes bad eating habits, ain't gonna lie). But what pisses me off are the job ads. “We are like a family”. Well my family is dysfunctional as hell so, no. “You: Compassionate, always smiling, always professional, support our Mission”. List of 20 job duties followed by “* other duties as directed”. I feel I have a good work ethic and when it comes to patient care, they all deserve good care regardless of management. BUT……at this point in my life I don't give a rat's a$$ about your “mission”. What you want is a robot who will have a permanent smile, no…

What you want is a robot who will have a permanent smile, no independent voice that will work all the shifts and say thank you, may I have more.
