I was fired a few days ago because I racked up sixteen 'unplanned absences' since I started nine months ago. Most of them were sick days but two were because I was subpoenaed to testify against a former boss who was being prosecuted for sexual assault. I was reprimanded several times and made to sign probation documents and such. I was told I could have two sick days until the first of August to reach the end of my probation. I took those two days a few days ago and was let go as soon as I got back. I guess I was uncertain whether the terms were two days and you're out or two days or more, but I was fed up with the place and the toxic attitude of some coworkers including my boss. My wife also has a full time job so I'm not sure with all of this if it's even worth it to apply. The online process in my state (MT) is pretty baffling as you'd expect. Thanks in advance for any advice.
