My job doesn't have designated vacation days and about 15 days of PTO per year (I've already taken about 3-5 work day's worth so far, 6 months in).
I don't plan on taking an extended vacation, because I want to save my PTO for days when I have an emergency or medical procedure, since I am a cancer survivor with multiple disorders.
I could always ask for more PTO, which I think is actually an option, but I am afraid if I do, they will not look so kindly on me, and eventually want to get rid of me.
