I've been at my job for two years, and have received one raise of just over 1% for “inflation”.
My work saves the company a lot of resources, by automating stuff people use to do by hand. I was expecting a raise recently, but I recently found out they haven't been giving me a raise due to the fact I work from home. I've been promised a raise for a while, and I have 2 great performance reviews.
I asked to work from home because of a disability, and they've allowed it, but have been pressuring me back into the office. They now claim that it's a “job requirement” to be in the office. It isn't, and I have them in writing saying that they want me in the office for “future business needs”.
I was also by my boss that his wife has the same disability as me, and that she can go into the office, and I am simply am making excuses to not go into the office.
I brought them a doctors note where my doctor recommend I work from home due to my disability, but they just won't do it.
They really don't give a shit about us and it's gross. They have the legal obligation to accommodate me and im going to push them to do so. It's just so fucking frustrating.
