I had a phone interview/screening for a job I applied for recently and the recruiter seemed to like my experience and skills and referred to me a position they’re looking to fill, but before we can move forward to hiring I had to be interviewed by one of her colleagues.
Fast forward to that zoom interview with her colleague and her colleague pretty much tells me I’m lacking one specific experience they’re looking for despite me meeting most of the requirement.
So here’s my rant…why do recruiters waste our time? My resume pretty much indicated my experience yet, they decided to say it’s not a great fit coz I’m lacking on particular skill. Couldn’t they just have said that during my phone interview?
That’s all. End of rant.
TLDR: if you’re a recruiter, please look at your candidates resume
