Why ‘Work Smarter, Not Harder’ is a Myth!!

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the idea of “working smarter, not harder” and why it doesn't quite add up for me. Sure, efficiency and productivity are important, but at the end of the day, work is still work. And the more we prioritize work above all else, the more we perpetuate a system that values profit over people. When we buy into the idea of working smarter, we're essentially saying that the solution to our problems is to work harder and faster, rather than questioning why we're working so much in the first place. Hey everyone,

I've been thinking a lot about the idea of “working smarter, not harder” and why it doesn't quite add up for me.

We're telling ourselves that if we just put in a little more effort, we'll be able to achieve our goals and find fulfillment. But the truth is, the system is designed to keep us in a constant state of overwork and burnout.

That's why I'm a firm believer in the antiwork movement. We need to fundamentally shift the way we think about work and our relationship to it. Instead of striving to work smarter or harder, we need to question the very premise of work and the societal structures that demand our labor in exchange for survival.

I know this is a controversial topic, maybe not in this subreddit, but I'd love to hear your thoughts. Do you think working smarter is a viable solution, or is it time for a complete reimagining of the way we approach work?
