I'm gonna give some context first: I started at Dec 2019 in X company with my old team, as a data analyst (with some funtions of data scientist). Old boss was great in the next points: – She really care about you, as she used to say I'm not going to inherit this company. – Listen to your ideas and if they were good enough or with potential let you go with them. – She never ask about extra time nor going to office if wasn't necessary or too much time without see the team. Of course she wasn't perfect but a decent human being. Now fastforward to July 2021 my old boss is leaving (and previously my teammate had leave) the company so i'm alone and since I still not have a lot of experience, they decide to relocate me in another team, with new boss. Note that this…

i have severe ibs, and the diet that i would have to be on to prevent flare-ups is extremely restrictive & expensive, and would require meal prep for every single day that i work as you can’t just easily order take-out for it. my boss told me today in a benchmark meeting that i am going to be required to change my diet & that they will be either cutting my hours or making me clock out whenever i have to use the bathroom, or both . i was also told that by using the bathroom, i put my coworkers in danger. and i have two weeks to figure it out or i’m getting fired (there’s other bullshit i’m getting accused of, so they’ll refuse to say it’s because of the “bathroom issue”) some part of this has to be a violation of the ada so i would definitely want…
Words of wisdom from Korvo
I worked for RCI for a number of years and eventually applied for, and was Approved, to take time off due to Migraines. They had a “Points” system which protected Employees from being fired for taking time off, because as you had good attendance they added points ON, so there was a Buffer in case of being late, etc. You also had a chance a Fabulous Prizes (movie tickets, etc) by the same points system. Magically, the people who were following ADA procedure To the Letter did NOT accumulate points if they had to take Medically Necessary, Government Approved time off, so I was stuck at minimal points versus the 30-40 I should have accrued over 7 months. I misread a Schedule and didn't show for a Holiday Shift and was fired due to my unfairly Absent Points. They had the nerve to contest my Unemployment (two HR attended the…
At my current job. My manager sat me down in the office with the assistant manager. They then proceeded to tell me that there would be a full time position opening up in the next week or so. After trying to get me to do small talk with them, giving him an idea of my availability after work. I work part time and went from 15 hrs a week to 25. I told them I do tutoring on the side and he completely forgot about the fact that I have a bachelor degree in something I tutor in. I picked up this tutoring side gig because I was reduced to 15 hours after my previous position got phased out and I needed cash to make up for the money lost. Even then, I'm not making as much as before. Anyway they did not mention any bonus pay, increase pay, or…
Well being that this is now my EX JOB I can speak freely. I work retail at a store that will not be named and I had been granted a weekend off to go on a trip and I’d be back by Monday. But in doing so my manager scheduled me 8 straight days of work and 9 hours each shift up until I literally would be making a 5 hour drive late at night right after the 8th shift. What makes this worse is I spoke to her multiple times on occasion to ask her for just a day off in between the 8 straight days for my mental health and so I wouldn’t be being overworked. Her reply to me “You need to be a man”. Right after I see other workers have 3 days off during the week and none of them requested anything off either. We’re…
