I brought my daughter to the Gaylord Denver for her birthday. Over the course of an hour, we saw our server 2 times. They were not understaffed. I could see her on her phone in the corner most of the time. I always tip 20% or more to help out my fellow workers. But what am I supposed to do here? It was the worst service I have ever had. I left a 10% tip just to leave something, but I really wanted to leave nothing. I totally get it if they are short staffed, but this was not the problem. She just didn’t give a shit from what I could tell. And I get that as well because fuck that job, but…. She relies on me for tips and at the end of the day, I was the one that was screwed. What is the right thing to do…

I just graduated high school. What seemed like a great new start now seems like a cruel awakening. I work six days a week. I can't function. I've been getting sick nearly every day from overworking myself. I'm going to do this for the rest of my life. My passions and hobbies are all worthless. I get paid $2.13/hr + tips at one job and $8/hr at the other. It's not enough. This is the American dream. This is the real world. Thanks, America.

Guy from Kolkata, India, low income group, education service company. This year, lots of local holidays were gobbled up by Sundays. So one morning me and some other guys were discussing this in office and I loudly said that the office should compensate, give a few leaves for those that are wasted. The HR was nearby, she instantly fired up and jumped on me. She positively shouted that I was doing “groupism” and this is unionism and I cannot say certain things in office and I should be old enough to understand that. I replied hotly that free speech is a basic right and nobody has the right to control what I can say or not. She went to the boss and so far nothing has happened. Was she right, and am I the asshole?

People complaining about how there boses are upset when they cancel a shift 1 hour before work and expect them to not be mad? And also complaining about how shit there job is when they literally chose it and knew how much they were getting paid, I understand that maybe sometimes there boss doesn’t pay them or smt which isn’t acceptable but then again you should research about the people you are working for/with. What I find the funniest is that these people can choose any job, (ik during covid and different places it’s harder to find jobs) and still complain and rant, while almost anyone outside of America and maybe uk or canada, work and don’t complain. It’s even worse when you look at people doing forced labour and don’t have a say, while you people have to work an extra 2 hours and rant and complain to your…
