I interviewed with a company 2 and a half weeks ago. It went great, and the manager said he’ll hire me as long as the background check comes back and that it should take 3-7 days. So I called his office the following week and asked for an update and he says there isn’t any update and it’s still being processed but the offer is ready and he will have me come in when it’s complete for training. Another week goes by and I personally message him as I still haven’t heard anything and he tells me that he’s sorry for how long it’s taking but that it’s telling him its still being processed. That was 2 days ago. I am extremely anxious abut this because I have no idea why it would take so long. I have no record, I didn’t lie on my resume, and I have been…

Just saw this add on another subreddit – “I'll cut to the chase. Person left nursing school and the job, I'm looking for another one. Preferrably a guy who is tall and can lift 190 pounds, Able to lift, cook, drive, etc. Pay is 15 an hour. No credentials required. Message me if interested?”
Honest question about unions.
I would consider myself pro union. The issue is I've only really been talking to people that are pro union. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but my question is as follows. What are the downsides of unions and the arguements that people use against unions? I'm just seeking to be more informed.
I had an epiphany the other day
The less I (physically/hard) work the more I get paid. For most my life I grew up just above the poverty line sometimes below it. As teenager I'd spend the summer helping my grandparents on their farm in the RGV. My junior and senior year I worked as a food runner and made tips plus minimum wage. I joined the military right out of high school and from there first learned how contractors doing the same job as me, sometimes less and for less hours, were making 3x what I was. I got out and got a position as a logistics coordinator for $20/hr in Austin. Not bad but still struggling. I applied for another position within the company overseas on a government contract with amazing benefits. 60k starting, HOLA/COLA, and hardship pay. I come in, do my 8hrs, can take lunch when I want usually an hour, if I…
Some food for thought…
So hear me out, some of you may remember when GameStop was heavily shorted, and the Subreddit 'wallstreetbets' all teamed up and bought the stock, causing the big boys to lose billions in a matter of hours… Now imagine, that antiwork as a collective, started unionizing, and collectively spreading word on all social platforms with a single hashtag, a future date in which EVERY working class citizen goes on strike, imagine the devastation it would cause… Just the mere sight of a heavily backed movement to strike globally would scare the Sh*t out of them 🤔
raises that don’t match inflation
I was just talking about inflation with a coworker and expressed my concerns that the 3% raise we get every year should be increased due to inflation, they argued that we cant except the company or the government to solve inflation with increased wages, I asked him what he thinks his life will be like if inflation is almost 10% this year and next but only keeps getting the 3% raise, they got real quite with that thought
What is a work interview?

“working from home are lazy!”
Having an anonymous twitter and being able to shit-talk boomers who are not used to people telling them off is the best therapy a guy can get. Better than any pill. Imagine some boomer who only gets compliments on linkedin and he is cocky, he thinks he can shit-talk people and people will say “yes sir”. and then one day you suddenly find out that people are like “Dude…i live in your town, have you ever had this great meal called knuckle sandwich?” https://preview.redd.it/fcswsvl6c7z81.jpg?width=619&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=64d041302155c05a24b86121e32e34a6c42ead7b
