THREE hour long interview

I interviewed at an organization in NYC today, one of the most disrespectful interviews of my life. I got there early, because they said I had to “fill out HR paperwork” before my interview. Turns out, they had me redo my application by hand with a pen and paper. After this annoying procedure, I had the interview and it lasted an hour and a half.

Way too long, to the point where I had to ask for water because I was so tired from talking. The questions asked were not related to the job function at all.

After the interview I thought I was done and they basically corralled me into a room to do a proofreading test that a fourth grader could’ve done, and then ANOTHER assignment on the computer. It took me like an hour in total on top of the two hours I’d already spent there.

They even gave me a take home “task” to do that I was supposed to send in 48 hours later which I threw away the minute I got home.

My time was so disrespected, and I know that any company that has an interview process like that is even worse when you’re actually in the job. No thank you.
