I am confused as to how you should communicate with your manager, are you suppose to reduce yourself to a child?

Lately I’ve been struggling with work and reading articles on how to communicate with your manager. From time to time ask them for guidance etc. well what if they can’t give advice in an area eg. they have not done the work and you know what to do..what if they give you the wrong advice? Anyway, trying to create a mask or autopilot settings 🙂
