And multiple people are about to follow, myself included.
My supervisor has been with this company for 14 years, started as a general associate and worked her way up to a supervisor role. She was one of the best damn supervisors within the whole plant, and upper management fucked it up.
On Monday someone got hurt, and my supervisor took care of it the old way versus the new way that they started implementing last month. The old way was for the technician to tell the supervisor and an incident report be filled out. The new way is to tell your supervisor who is supposed to tell the new “Head of Safety”. She failed to tell the head of safety about the incident and upper management tried to write her up for it today.
No warning, verbal or otherwise, just a write up. We’re all human and having to adjust to this new process. She got her shit and left. And it’s been an utter shit show since.
The other supervisor stepped into her role, starting to micromanage me and my tech and it’s made me almost have a panic attack. Before my tech got here I had “help” from a tech that stayed to only get in the good graces of the other supervisor.
Neither one would listen to me when I said to cut back on overtime for the night, it would be better to have one style run offline than online. Now? I’m staying over to fix their fuck up along with 6 other people when it should have been any where from 3-4 people staying. On top of that when it even came down to the overtime list it didn’t go up until 10:30, usually done at 9:30. Instead of one of the second shift or third shift team leaders making the list they made my tech do it.
But oh well it’s okay. I’ve been applying to jobs since first break, when I first learned that my supervisor quit. I’m debating on not coming in to work tomorrow, one of the places I applied for was where my friend works and she’s going to try to get her supervisor to look at my application first.
If my old supervisor sees this, I just want you to know how much you meant to a lot of people. It feels weird to be at this damn plant without you.
To upper management, go fuck yourselves.
