I work construction and had a back injury at work back in 3-22, and got a workman's comp claim going. It took months to get any help- Dr visits, physical therapy, MRI, epidural, etc. Only 1 month ago I finally got the epidural and a little relief from the pain. But not nearly enough to make walking, sitting or standing any easier. I received a letter from my company saying I need to come back to work, and after taking to my lawyer, they said I have to or lose the workman's comp medical coverage.
I can't walk without a cane, and even with one, for only 30-45 min before I'm shaking and nearly in tears from the pain. It takes almost 2 hours of ice and laying down for the pain and spasms to calm enough to do anything else.
I know that going back to work now is only going to make my back worse. I wanna work, but physically I feel like I'm not at the point where I can.
I've been trying to learn a new trade that I can work at home doing, but I can't afford proper class training. The free courses are good, but I need structure and someone I can ask questions and converse with.
::Sigh::
Thanks for reading.
