Sometimes I just want to concentrate on my work as it is very sensitive and small details matter. We work in a small office within a larger office with 2 others besides myself. My coworkers insist on involving me in every trivial conversation while I am trying to concentrate on doing my job. Everything from bitching about other employees from other departments, to their family drama, to what their neighbors did, their drive in or drive home from work. It’s getting to the point where I dread coming into work. I don’t mind conversation, but they want to talk for 8 hours straight without stopping. Not to mention they create a toxic work environment by acting like everyone is stupid but them and talking behind others backs, and complaining about every minor inconvenience. When I tell friends about my coworkers they tell me that their behavior isn’t normal. Why can’t people just let others do their job in peace?
