Apparently, not even allowed to choose when I quit anymore…

Sick of being underpaid with a high workload, I put in a notice for the 30th of June. Trying to build a buffer by working for one more paycheck, and also an attempt to not burn a bridge and be kind by giving as much notice as possible. Instead I get an email from the regional manager saying they accept my resignation on June 15th… When I pointed out there was an error there, I was told that for “staff and manpower purposes” they can only accept my resignation on that date… Well too bad for them as I walked off then and there.
