This may not fit here, but I'm currently bitter about the greed in this country. I'm nearing the end of my 1 week paid vacation that I get each year. I've worked for the same company for 20 years.

It's not about be a good student (or a good employee). It's about popularity, relationships, looks, and a little bit of intimidation (even intimidating your boss). Learn this and you will succeed. It's shallow, i know. Don't blame me, it's not me who did the rules.
Is studying while at work time stolen?
My goal is to develop myself a lot in programming studies and others such as sql that would be very important for my career in the company. I'm WFH, I could do something to get my status online on teams, but something tells me it's unethical and I'm straying into paid hours to work. Of course, doing this would only be possible in times of downtime at work. Am I naive to think that way? using tools such as leaving a PowerPoint presentation makes me a little uncomfortable to the point of preferring to do this development part on the weekend. My current work is analytical, but I only use excel practically. I have a datacamp subscription that I wanted to use, but it is blocked at work and for that I would have to use my personal computer, which is also on my desk.
Random thought I had reading through comments on a post here. Someone was scheduled for 39.5 hours as a “part time” employee so the company could avoid giving benefits. It just pissed me off because I find it ridiculous that the hours can be one paid lunch break away from being “full time” but one extra minute over that 40 hours is considered over time.
Are you ok with it or do you see this as legalized robbery (not paying you for your additional time)? How has this impacted your life whether for good or bad?
