I mean if it was a once in awhile occurrence I would be fine but almost every week my boss is taking my days off away. She can’t schedule for anything

I think the reason why nobody here wants to work is the constant stress put on the nervous system. Therefore disliking it is justified. However if mental health was prioritized in the work force, I think things would be very different. For example. These are the changes I'd implement More sick days (paid legal 3 plus unpaid). Therefore if you're facing a mental health crisis you aren't obliged to come in. You may not get paid after a certain amount but you can't legally be fired Stop focusing so much on employment gaps in resumes. Resumes have become like a criminal record these days where you can be punished based on past behavior. If someone has a mental or physical breakdown it shouldn't mean they are confined to working as a dish washer because nobody else will hire them The ability to sit when standing isn't needed. You're just as…
I have to physically bite my tongue to keep from telling the people constantly trying to micro manage me. I’ve learned just to ignore them, or take over an hour to do something they want of me. Since what they’re asking is usually extra work, I don’t have to do it that minute like they want. I have been pretty snarky of late. Like a machine will be running bad, and they’ll message me asking if I’m even aware of the situation. Of course I’m aware. Sometimes I just don’t know how to fix it. But I’m working on figuring that out dammit! I’ve told one of the engineers that if they want information when they want it, to get off their ass at home and come into work to get it themselves. I am busy trying to make the line run properly. You don’t like my adjustment? Ok come…
if this isn’t the best place to post this please lmk tldr: my coworker has been out for a month and will be for the foreseeable future, is it reasonable for me to ask for additional compensation for taking on their workload? i am one of a team of three, my other coworker and i switch off taking their work each day. it’s not impossible to do theirs and mine, but it can be a lot, especially with our busy season ramping up. i’m glad to help out and i also value my labor. my job is getting three employees’ worth of work for the price of two and that’s increasingly irritating. especially since our leadership doesn’t know when they’ll be back. Words are nice and all, but i’m tired of empty ‘Thanks for your hard work!’ 3x a day because that doesn’t pay the bills. And I don’t make…

It sounds familiar to things I’ve seen at other plants. It also pisses me off someone who cares a lot about making society more sustainable.
“The job market is terrible right now”
Less then a day before I was supposed start my new job, my employer informed me that they could not hire me anymore because “the job market is terrible” so all their future projects I was supposed to work on got cancelled. This is astonishing as the company reported earning record profits and promotes nurturing/fostering new talent. What stings the most is that I quit my previous job to start with this new company. This is a warning to everyone that even when you sign the contract with the expectation of starting the next day, the offer can be rescinded at a moments notice!
The hell is up with salaries
When I look at positions from 3 years ago at the same experience and skill levels as the ones I'm seeing now that have gone down drastically. The same position in the same department of the same company has been offered 3 years in a row now, I've seen it pop away but a few weeks or months later it's always back. But one thing has changed or rather not changed It's getting offered less. This lead me down a rabbit hole, jobs are being offered at rates below what they should be, either exactly the same as 3 years ago if not sooner but inflation cost of living generally everything has gone up but why do wages stagnate and regress like this
My job wants to cut my pay in half
I make 10¢ Above minimum wage and the company i work for switched their classification so that most of the servers are being paid the standard server rate. The selling point is that we would make more from tips but, as it is, we already aren’t making much from tips. I know the company is hemorrhaging money and just trying not pay its staff because they don’t market properly and follow weird ideas since the creators are out of touch with reality. The company thinks paying us less will be an incentive to work harder for tips and be even better to customers but the opposite is going to happen. If you pay me below minimum wage, you get below minimum effort.
