Why is the EEOC process so horrible and dehumanizing ? In order to get help for discrimination we have to submit ourselves to gaslighting deception from our employers who paint us in colors of ugliness, greed, shady corruption. We must submit ourselves to an organization that hides the rules but say they don’t. A government agency’s who says they are neutral, but we see the paint to camouflage the political winds that always favor apex predators. This illusion of objectivity doesn’t hide who suffers more & who has the wealth to survive longer in order to squash us like invasive species of insects And then we have another timeline & new vocabulary of legalistic bullying we don’t understand. Violence in legal discrimination language. Violence to portray us. Violence against we who reached out for help. And we are ridiculed & blamed & scolded for wearing the revealing shameful slutty clothes…

Worst reasons you’ve been fired?
Just had a really chill job, was told the first day I came in, being about ten minutes early, that being a little late occasionally wouldn’t be a huge deal so long as I came. Learned everything rapidly, but had little chance to actually show I could do the job as they never really let me. Then I finally get scheduled an afternoon shift. I wake up and see I’m going to be late as I set my alarm for pm instead of am. I call ahead, and rush over without eating. Only 15 minutes late. Told once again, it’s not a big deal. Next day, I’m emailed that due to being late, I was being let go. Makes me think they just didn’t care for me, considering they didn’t even talk to me in person about it. So I’m curious on your worst fired stories. Are they worse? Or…
Job training
Went in for my first day of job training today for a housekeeping/porter position at a truck stop. Mainly cleaning showers and bathrooms. The guy that was “training” me was telling me how rude and nasty the truckers can be and then causally let’s me know that since I’m a female some truckers will probably ask me to go into the showers with them and provide “favors”. He proceeded to tell me not to let it bother me and I’m just supposed to tell them I’d get in trouble for it. Also told me a story about another porter who had to clean up a crap explosion in the bathroom all by herself because management wouldn’t get anyone to help. I was actually hopeful about this job but now I feel deflated.
They want me to be a lead.
A lead position is 3x the work for $1 extra an hr. I’ve said no three times now. I’ve just been saying cause I want to go to days. When in reality I don’t want the extra responsibility and I definitely don’t want it for that amount. Wow $22 an hr for ripping my hair out. Thanks.
Using healthcare then leaving
Me and my partner were both self employed but we wanted to buy a house and because of the way loan approvals work I needed to get a “full time” job for us to get approved. I got a job at a big warehouse for a mega Corp named after a rainforest and within a month got the full time gig. Me and my partner bought our house and I planned my exit. I view my work as valuable and don’t care what job I’m doing so I was the top performer in my position by a good margin. I needed surgery for a deviated septum and I had already gotten close to my out of pocket max so I gave notice of my medical leave for surgery. When I told my section manager I wouldn’t be coming back he looked dead inside, but told me to take advantage in…
Just some quotes from Henry Ford
“The owner, the employees, and the buying public are all one and the same, and unless an industry can so manage itself as to keep wages high and prices low it destroys itself, for otherwise it limits the number of its customers. One’s own employees ought to be one’s own best customers.” “We increased the buying power of our own people, and they increased the buying power of other people, and so on and on. It is this thought of enlarging buying power by paying high wages and selling at low prices that is behind the prosperity of this country.” “The payment of five dollars a day for an eight-hour day was one of the finest cost-cutting moves we ever made, and the six-dollar-a-day wage is cheaper than the five. How far this will go we do not know.” “When business thought only of profit for the owners ‘instead of…
