We had a profit sharing program and a bunch of other dumb stuff that I thought was pretty cool. After some time, we were in a position where we were pushing out crazy numbers and even moving faster than the manufacturer we were working at. For about a month, we were killing it. Then, one day, an employee on the line overheard that the leads and the supervisor talking and laughing about how we were doing so good and how they were going to get bonuses but none of that was for the employees. This movie is great! It’s about union organizing and they show captive audience meetings and it really shows you that things haven’t changed one bit! They still criminalize fighting for the working class to this day. As I see the progress we’ve made being beat back by capital (Starbucks closing unionized stores, they won’t get a dime from me until they change their ways) I was struck by the way management in the movie calls the workers a “big family.” It was filmed in 1941! Incredible how capital reaches into the same bag of emotionally manipulative tricks 82 years later. Please watch this movie and discuss!

I was going to buy but I needed to pee so badly and this guy literary followed me to the bathroom and grabbed my arm before I could step in. ¡You gotta buy something first, go buy something and then you can come in! So recency I’ve been job searching because where I work (Pizza Hut) is not doing it for the rent, for reference I make $11 an hour, and I’m barely getting by paying the bills.
