Contract Hours – In a Pickle? Education Field

Hey guys I'm in a pickle. I work as a therapy assistant at a school through a contract company. I got paid for a state recognized vacation week in April (april vaca). No one told me that I could or could not add the hours for that week, so I did, assuming that if they were not approved that week's pay would be denied. Well, it was approved so all was well. The reason why I added the hours in the first place was because my vacation pay was approved during February vacation as well, granted it was at another school, but it was from the same staffing company.. so I assumed it would be okay this time as well..Now, someone from the district apparently reached out to my staffing company is asking me about the contract hours for that week in April. They want verification from my supervisors that those hours were approved, they want names. I was already paid for it though, and it is now June. What do I do?! I don't find this very fair at this point. I'm worried they're going to take my pay away or expect me to pay it back. What do I do, what should I say, how can I go about this? I don't want anyone to get in trouble.

This sentence is included in my signed contract “If the client School District to which the employee is assigned is closed for a holiday, teacher planning day, etc., the minimum hours will be reduced by the number of hours regularly scheduled for that week.”

In case I have to deal with this, how might I search for the local labor offices for my state?
