My company decided to force employees back to office 4x a week suddenly. This was a big shock to everybody and they didn't want to hear anyone out on it, but still had a meeting to announce this. It was a shitstorm, with some employees arguing with managers, and making them upset enough that one of them told people to leave the company if they don't like the policy. Lots of people left comments and reactions to comments, majority of comments were honest questions about the policy, like how strict it is and flexibility. I gave an emoji reaction on those comments and asked some geniune questions. Well it turns out the top management went through all the commentary AND reactions, and wrote down names of employees to have a chat with about being out of line. Including me, because they decided one of the comments I reacted to was “offensive” because it implies insubordination. So, yeah, can't even react with emojis now because it upsets the overlords 🤔 , but you can tell your employees to quit if they don't like the rules and that isn't considered out of line. This just inspired me to go look at job listings instead
