I am done with bad management

So to make a long story short my fixed term contract ends in one week, I never stated to my boss that I wanted to continue my contract nor did we discuss any new terms and conditions. The boss talks to me everyday but seems to not mention any new terms and conditions, as it’s a fixed term contract I don’t have any obligations past my last day, and I don’t have to give notice. Seeming as nobody is organised and that this conversation is not gona be had, I send an email stating that my contact ends soon I have decided to move on, but I have a replacement in mind to offer my position as she is trained and can fill my shoes.

Manager responds to me after several days that she did not understand my email, although it was very clearly written. So then I have to be like I AM LEAVING, CONTRACT IS ENDING, thank you here is my replacement in mind. She goes off on one, saying it’s all my fault now I have put her in a compromising position, do I know what I have done to her ? And how could I ? After saying I am on board for her January plans ( which I never confirmed). I told her that I never confirmed, as per my legal rights I am not obligated for anything to her and she never gave me a notice to negotiate any new terms for renewal so as fixed contract works my last day is in a week. She then said I need to find my replacement, I said to her I already proposed you one and it’s not my job to hire people I am not HR. She started asking so can I come in January ? I again had to spell out to her that my contact ends in this specified date and it seems to me she has no idea how fixed contracts work. She then demands an array of work for me ( I suppose as punishment) which I stated as a reminder I’m on sick leave, legally she can’t demand all these things when my medical note says I am 100 % not able to work.

Eventually, she tells me if I note all my work hours down for her for December. I told her that I am paid a salary as per my hours on my contract, I am not keeping time management as I am not meant to, I just do my hours and that’s it, and if she needs to remind herself my hours she can look at my contract. She continues how many hours ??? I said to her well december has 5 weeks make some quick maths 20 hours per 5 weeks and you get the sum of hours I work. Eventually I think she has realised that she has completely lost the plot and told me that we will call on Friday where I quote “ so we can discuss further and express ourselves 🙂 “- I honestly am baffled, with how certain people end up in higher up positions when they are this unorganised.
