I’m tempted to curse out my manager

I (23F) work in luxury retail for a Venezuelan fashion house as a sales assistant, and I have this shitty manager (39F) that has been a pain in the ass for the past 2 months; even other managers from other stores are not sure how exactly she got this position but then that says a lot about the company I work for since they hire crazy people, only for them to quit after 3-6 months max. Usually a day with my manager consists of her coming in either completely out of it (hung over or upset by the fact that her boyfriend of 14 years has cheated on her for what seems to be the billionth time), displaying neurotic behavior due to the fact that the spacing of hangers are off by either 0.5-1 inch, the placement of our bows on our uniforms, gossiping about other coworkers to the entire…

Usually a day with my manager consists of her coming in either completely out of it (hung over or upset by the fact that her boyfriend of 14 years has cheated on her for what seems to be the billionth time), displaying neurotic behavior due to the fact that the spacing of hangers are off by either 0.5-1 inch, the placement of our bows on our uniforms, gossiping about other coworkers to the entire workplace, constantly fishing for compliments from the workplace since she’s always extremely critical of her physical appearance, commenting on my eating habits (I usually eat healthy meals for lunch, but she literally freaks out when I treat myself to a brownie to make me feel self conscious), commenting on my figure (which she herself had to pay to get her figure to look similar to mine. I don’t shame others for having work done at all, but she shows a lot of jealousy towards me because of her shitty boob job), and so forth.

She also has poor comprehension issues since we often have to explain things to her at least 3-5x in a row, has started unnecessary arguments with my other coworkers, does assigned tasks at the very last minute to the point where sometimes we end up staying late to finish her own work that she has done incorrectly or doesn’t want to do, has called other coworkers repeatedly during their days off to help her with her own tasks…I can literally go on, but I feel like I’ve given quite a bit of context. I even had to call her out on her own behavior last weekend for starting an unnecessary argument with my coworker, which she proceeded to gossip to me about right after and I finally stood up for myself to shut her down with that shit. I’ve let her slide quite a lot since I’ve never dealt with someone like this in my experience with the workforce, but that’s not an excuse to let her behavior run on for so long; if anything, she started acting like a megabitch a month into working with us.

Keep in mind, I’m already in the onboarding process of finding another job for myself but I think they’re still finalizing my paperwork in order to give me an official welcome letter. I already have my resignation letter drafted out, and I plan to send this to my manager immediately when I receive this. I want to try my best to maintain professionalism, especially once I put in my 2 weeks. However, if she pisses me off enough, I’m pretty sure I’m going to walk out and tell her to go fuck herself.

Mind you, the entire store has had many issues with her and we’re at that point where we all might just end up telling her to fuck off.

But that’s luxury retail for you :/
