Job Offer Advice

I’m not super active on Reddit but love this sub. If there is a sub that’s better for this kind of question that I could be directed to id greatly appreciate it! I recently got a job offer that seems pretty good all things considered. Work from home 4 days a week, flexible with work hours and relatively interesting tasks. I recently got a job offer that seems pretty good all things considered. Work from home 4 days a week, flexible with work hours and relatively interesting tasks. I asked for 52,500 salary in the interview but admitted I needed to see their insurance plans and rates before making any final decisions. The interview was kind of sudden so I didn’t come fully prepared or armed with all the info I needed to set all of my expectations adequately.

They sent over their policies and after having time to check over some things my family would be taking a big net loss as the salary would put us over state benefit levels and my children would be out of pocket. I want to readjust my salary expectation to compensate for this loss. Is this a bad idea?

Any help or redirection is appreciated.
