Love it when they openly admit they tried to trick you.

Long story short: recruiter reached out regarding a sales position. High paying, they only need a closer. Everything pre and post sale is handled by ops teams. All I have to do is go to two appointments per day and close them. Sounds good. Second interview I find out that 2 weeks of door to door canvassing are required during training as well as Saturday appointments being mandatory, however after six months in the role, you’d be able to opt out. Third and final interview with regional VP…..in this interview I first find out that the sign on bonus isn’t a sign on bonus, yet works in some weird convoluted way that I don’t care to explain. Then I find out that you can’t opt out of Saturday appointments, rather you get ONE weekday of your choice off after 6 months. AND THEN they tell me it’s actually 6-8 weeks of door to door canvassing. At this point I tuned out and started being a little stand-offish as I knew I didn’t want this job. I asked the VP why I was told otherwise in previous interviews, and he said “that recruiter is new, don’t know why they’d say that.”

So I texted the recruiter afterwards to let him know, and please look at the highlighted text…unbelievable. If they treat you this way as an interviewee, imagine what it’d be like working at this place. Sheesh.
