Worst Customer Service Stories
Hey everyone, we’ve all had our bad days in customer service, some more than others. Thought I’d make a post for everyone to share and vent about their worst customer service stories.
Hypocrisy on Safety
Last week my supervisor, a coworker and I are riding in a pickup and taking some ATV’s to the field. (We work for the government.) Before we unload the ATV’s my supervisor lectures my coworker and I about the importance of helmets…. Whatever, she likes to her herself speak. After this lecture she hops on her ATV and drives away without a helmet…. I was just shocked….. what a great person to work for.
I am struggling financially and have only 1 month's worth of sustenance money left in my account. My YEARLY expenses are only $3000 as i live in a smalltown in a developing country. And i am REALLY REALLY frugal in how i live. The major expenses in my budget is rent and i manage food and other expenses in mere $100 a month which is modest even by my country's standards. I ve SIBO (a digestive disorder) that's why normal routine jobs arent a thing for me. I am also trying to heal through my depression that is part of the SIBO thing. As i have lost a lot of weight due to SIBO, i look frail and skinny and people talk in a very rude manner. I am 37 but look like a teenager. This makes me avoid going out facing people until i recover. My family whom i…
What is the price of your principles?
To explain the title: i work an entry-level specialist IT support job. The company is small but does right by its employees. I haven't even been working there a year, and I've gotten two raises totalling ~15%, putting me above the average pay rate in my field. I spend a lot of time on the road, but I don't mind that, I prefer it to being on the helpdesk. But i got an offer for another job. About the same commute, fully internal IT support, and a salary increase of ~35%, But it's one of the Evil Empires™. I expect there would be none of the flexibility i enjoy with my current employer (leaving early once a week for my kid's after school stuff, for instance). That extra pay could make a substantial difference in my family's life, though. Anyone else find themselves in this situation? Did your principles win,…
I cant believe this happened.
So I made a mistake at work today and my co worker put her hands around my throat jokingly. I know she was only playing but this has been on my mind all day.
… should I be worried?
This new manager has been working with us since a week ago and he has gone from 0-100 fast. It’s a shame really cause I thought he would be a great fit (for the first two days anyway). He told me he needs to “recondition” me so I do not work past my end time… Does that sound like a normal thing to be said to someone who’s been at the company for over 5 years? The term reconditioning is really throwing me off… just gives me a negative vibe along with all the other issues he’s been causing already. Thoughts?? Edit: we are little company who’s way under staffed. if things don’t get done we get in shit but we aren’t allowed to take the time to do the things if they need to be done after work (can’t be about overtime as we get none) and they keep…
A few years ago,I worked at a fast food place that's one of the highest in the chains. From when I started there,we were always told to encourage people to give money to our fundraiser boxes for helping children(St.Jude's Hospitals,I believe),and to give money ourselves when possible. I generally thought that was fair as long as it wasn't pushy or anything,so I did at the time.Well, one morning I come in a little early to the general manager opening the fundraiser boxes and putting the money in her pockets.I ask her what she's doing and she said this is how she makes her manager wage as she deserves it for dealing with us and customers. I ended up quitting that day and trying to tell HR about it(I wasn't aware of other ways to handle it better at the time)and it ended up not getting dealt with.I don't believe she works there…
