Unskilled jobs are a classist myth
Hypothetical scenario. I got a new job offer outside of the company and gave my 2-week notice. HR wants to conduct an exit interview. The reason for my departure is due to the followings: Working for a company that all they care is about not spending and not investing in their employees Including no professional development assistance, and no tuition reimbursement. This has nothing to do with the pandemic. It's been like that since I started 5 years ago. Working for a delusional boss. He thinks he knows it all. He treats his employees with no respect. No communication and sharing of knowledge and critical work-related information Should I be honest and share my opinion about what I think about the leadership and the organization? Or since the organization doesn't care much about their employees and keep things to myself and just give them a short brief answer? I don't…
Employer refusing to pay holiday leave
Hello everyone! I (23F) have been working in a family members club in London for around 6 months. Due to a visa issue, i had to leave the job this March. In my previous job, upon leave, i had been paid the amount equivalent to my annual holiday leave. I read my contract from this workplace and if i understood correctly i have 28 days for an year. I contacted my employer today as we get paid on the 9th of each month, just to double check with her whether I'll receive my holiday pay, but she simply tells me that 28 days are for the whole year, and since i left in March I'm basically not entitled to anything. Is this possible or is she making things up? This company is known to underpay employees, that's why i have my doubts Thank you for reading! 🙂
Amazon posting this is peak irony.
Do you think this is retaliation?
A few months ago, I filed a complaint against my boss. Because he accused me of something I had nothing to do with. I had a meeting with his boss, HR, my boss, and myself. My boss's boss favored me and as a result, my boss had to attend some classes. Next, thing my boss decided to do a job rotation. So I am doing what the new guy does; simple tasks and less work. And the new guy is doing my work. I had to train the new guy with things I used to do. Now, the new guy is taking on a project I have supposed me on. Am I being retaliated because of my action? If so, what could I do? Do I have a legal right to file a formal complaint against my employers and my boss?
