Firestorm is a FOR PROFIT private fire suppression company. This year they secured a $140 million dollar federal contract to provide fire suppression services. During a non-emergency fuels project, one of their employees was killed by a falling tree. The owner of this multimillion dollar company underpays employees, does not provide benefits, and started a fucking go fund me so that charitable people can shoulder the cost of supporting his young wife and child. article 1 article 2 This $140 million dollar contract is money that should go to professional fire departments whose true mission is protecting life, property and natural resources. Graduated high school in 1974 but not sure about college so went to work in a factory. Worked hard and earned $37,185 in a year. Bought an $8,100 used car for cash using money earned part time in HS. Saved enough in a year for three years of college at Ohio State, tuition, room and board and books. Bought a motorcycle and started skydiving for fun. Went to college, studied hard. Took out a $10,000 student loan at 3% to finish school. Which was paid off within a year of graduation. Had a minor medical problem; Needed a cyst removed.
