I’m living in France and actually with no job, while I looked at the work lists on Pole Emploi (an institution that helps you find a job and give you money while you’re searching) I saw things that I never saw a few years ago. Let me list some things : – The usuals : we’re a family, we look for passionate people not money grabber etc… the ones you basically see on this sub or you might know irl. But then there is something in France that we make fun of, it’s franglish. Basically it’s the way of speaking both french and English at the same time or using some English words in your french sentence. The satire we usually do became true. I am a young Project Manager for an unlimited commercial GC. I picked up a hammer for the first time 6 years ago (no prior experience). I was raised believing if you work hard and apply yourself you will be successful. For 2 years I learned everything that I could in the construction industry. A delivery driver ended up quitting a few weeks after I started because of the verbal degradation our manager was giving him. ‘This boy went to college but…

I'm due to invigilate an exam with another teacher from the department and overheard the manager say to a group of students that he will get them a copy of the exam paper a hour before the exam. I due to collect the papers from a certain staff member at a set time. My manager has contacted them for me to collect files early so that we can test set up on the PCs. As the exam is around 3 hours long and goes into my lunch break I said I'll take my lunch break at that time but he insisted…
