This post is different than most because it’s to praise her. She gave me a raise without telling me, never makes me feel guilty when my kids need me, gave me a 20% cost of living increase (on top of the raise). I work for a small pet store in a small town. When we hit personal goals she tells us to add an extra hour to our pay sheets, encourages us when we don’t hit them, and busts her ass to invest in us as people. My boss is an amazing person and I am so grateful for her and the changes she is making in this world.
The 9-5 scam in one simple image
Help me scam my employer.
Help me scam my employer. Hello, I’ve been lurking this sub for a while. Love so many of the stories I’ve heard. Finally want to ask a question of the group relating to something that I think we all love: time theft. I work for a tech company as a project manager. It’s an insanely stupid job but pays well. My mission is to work as little as possible but continue to get paid. I’ve been thinking about it and I would love a month off to volunteer and do some charity work but I can’t do that while working for this job. My question is… how can I take a leave of absence from a company in the most innocuous way possible? Any lawyers or doctors step up and tell me, what’s the easiest way to convince my job that I cannot work for an extended period of time…
She sent me friend request on her first day at work. But since I didn’t know her I pretended not notice that. Now she thinks I am being rude and impolite, and is being against me for trivial daily things. How would you deal with this circumstance though?
I am about to get new employment. I posted a bad review for my past manger she threw a crying fit and might be definitely trying to prevent me from getting new employment. I guess my new place is verifying that I worked at Starbucks. Some how she threw a tantrum was trying to take me to my old college students rights and responsibilities office the entire time.
So I just got a job as a part time food courier and when I applied it said there would be a £250 bonus if I work at least 20 hours every week for the first month (minimum in the contract is 16 hours), but I've recently seen ads for the same job but the bonus is now £350. My first shift is tomorrow evening but I'm wondering if there's a way I could go about asking for this 350 bonus instead of the 250? Sry idk how these things work this is my first job.
hey! i’m a college student currently writing a paper about how our current workforce leaves us feeling isolated and separates us from one another. please let me know your stories, whether it be you not being able to talk to your coworkers, workplace competition, or you not having time for things outside of work. thank you so much!!
My boss (finally) got canned.
My boss got let go last week. He was the station manager, which has been operational since early October 2021. In the 5 months, a lot of shit has gone wrong under his command. -I fell on the job, fracturing my elbow and putting me out of work for 2 months. -34 pieces of luggage were sent to the wrong stations: 16 meant for Ft Myers went to Orlando, 18 vice versa -it eventually came to the realization of everyone that he and a newer ticket counter agent were sleeping together -his response to messages and phone calls were extremely poor -his ADD made it so he couldn't focus on much for an extended period of time The cherry on top was when he pushed out an A320 with no certification or prior experience. Everyone on that shift objected, saying we should take the delay and wait for someone with…
