Did a really good job for someone got in and out fast and got the job done total came out to 155 customer gave me 200 and told him what's going on he said take it to the office they will give me change. Now the office says they have to process it and I will have the tip tomorrow but I'm not hopeful. I should have just broke the bill at the gas station kept my 45 and gave them exact change I have a feeling they are going to pull some bull shit

I'm about to interview for a job with homeless youth. I have plenty of experience, not worried about it very much. I'm preparing for it right now, and re-reviewing the job description as part of my preparation. While reviewing, I noticed it says “[…] benefit of professional/casual dress […] therefore, expects no deviation from the policy […] including inappropriate clothing, make up, hair, and jewelry”. What does this even mean? Is it legal for them to dictate appearance like this, including make up? What even is “inappropriate make up”? I just want to know my rights. Please only sincere answers. Turns out the guy who would have been my boss fucking quit the same day I was supposed to get an offer. This was for a Motion designer job for a big Edtech company. $60,000 – $65,000/year salary, fully benefitted, and remote. I really wanted this job. Three weeks of interviews. Aced every single one. I even made an animation for them for free, making a custom social ad for their brand, and shared all the project files them so they could see how I work. On Friday they said “We'd reach a decision by early next week”. On Monday, I heard nothing. I’m still furious from what just happened so I’m not in the mood to fully explain the situation so I’ll come back and edit later but basically I was told 2 weeks ago that I’d be getting a promotion from my straight out of college job as an AutoCAD drafter to mechanical engineer which is what my degree is in. The salary/raise that they offered me is 33% lower than the average starting salary and after my projected 3 year progression it is still 12% lower than the average starting salary. Neither of us are veterans at the company. My co-worker has his BS and 10 years of experience. At time of hire, I had my MS and was nearing 20 years of experience.
