It doesn't matter if you never reach your goals. If you are well fed, housed and have some kind of community, what else is there to life? It doesn't matter if your company isn't that successful. Long story short, my work is having a pickup sports day for employees. Sounds like fun? It is. I WAS excited for it…. One of the managers even came up to me asking if I was in, I said yes, and they asked if I had equipment or if I'd need to rent some. I told them I'd need some (since I didn't want to bring some stuff I do have with me on the bus to work) and they said I'll be taken care of (since we have connections). Sounds like a nice gesture, until the day comes up and of course, there's no plans for me, nothing available, all week I've been trying to talk to them about the day and they're always too busy or stressed to talk. The back story..I work as a mechanic/service tech for a utility vehicle rental company. I maintain a fleet of 800+/- vehicles. Since day one I have had issues and difficulties getting replacement parts due to internal management issues, this obviously slows down productivity, But it's been an ongoing issue and is my primary limiting factor in doing my job but… I just deal with it. I found out that at the end of the month, in order to “take things off my plate” they are moving another tech to the rental dept to help me out and are hiring a yard/lot guy to organize the yard and do other small things so I don't have to so I can focus on repairing and maintaining the fleet. My co-worker is being overly selfless and it cost her a better job with better pay. ​ So background about our organization/ team and everything. We are an association management and services organization; we primarily service 3 small local professional associations with professional services, but primarily we help put on their events. These events are anything from a 2-hour presentation with a networking cocktail reception afterward, formal galas, happy hours, small 1 to 3-day conferences, etc. We probably handle about 2 events a month. ​ We are a team of 3-5 people which is composed of our boss/CEO alias John, our events coordinator alias Kelly, our events and operations manager alias Fred, me (marketing and communications manager), and our sponsorship sales coordinator alias Zelda who is part-time. A coworker was hired recently and he's been following me and flirting with me and creeping me out talking about violent things etc they made a group chat over the phone and I said I didn't want to be in it and they added me anyway and I got mad and sent a text something like “why the fuck did you do that” it was a fellow employee that set it up not a manager I was off the clock and was freaking out because I was so scared they pulled me into the office today said everything I'm saying sounds made up I have no proof didn't go to the police or anything so they fired me idk what to do
