Colleagues keep commenting on how much I eat

I have a history with an ED and I'm slightly chubby. I really don't like eating in front of other people because I always feel embarrassed and ashamed. I try to get lunch as early as possible to avoid coworkers or eat at my desk when I can. It's always something like “Wow someone's hungry!” “You're gonna eat all that?” “That's a big lunch” “I wish I could eat as much as you do” “That's a lot of food!” and they always laugh and I can't help but feel they are laughing at me. I've started lying “oh I didn't eat breakfast” “my mum made the lunchbox” “I don't have time for dinner so needed a big lunch” etc. Maybe I'm too sensitive but I just never comment on what someones eating unless it's like “wow that smells so good!” etc. I am recovering from my ED and have been…

A bit of venting

My boss just tried to ream me out for always working home office and never coming into the office. Says it's bad for the team spirit. She doesn't seem to be aware that my contract runs out by the end of the year. I have a half-time position, which doesn't quite pay the bills, and been asking for a full-time one for 15 months now, with no clear answer. Always saying “Yes, of course!” but not actually giving me the contract. Obviously, I've been looking for another job, and already have a new full-time position way closer to my home town secured. Does she really think I give a sh*t about the team spirit at this point? I'm never gonna see these people again, starting january. Apparently they've done similar stuff with other employees too. Giving them a new contract a whopping two weeks before the old one ran out.…

I feel constantly sick with dread at work, even 10 years into my career, and I finally worked out why

I have no savings, I currently have 2/3 of one month's wage saved. I am entirely dependent on my income to live, for comfort, for everything I have. That fact makes me feel sick all day. It's not the job, it's not the work I have to do, it's not the people. It's the dependence.

Unsure if this is the page for this! However How many days of sick can you have without been pulled in? Been at my current employer 4/5 months! Not had any sick days until recent – caught this nasty flu/cold that’s going around and I missed the Saturday and I’m planning on missing the Tuesday too, as still not 100% How many days sick can you have without been questioned or pulled in, obviously I know you can’t help it if your poorly but I tend to have bad anxiety about stuff like this! – should add I have zero warnings or anything to date! Thanks

The Latest Policy of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution in America

From now on, medical care and housing for workers and farmers are free. The overthrown capitalists have no right to enjoy free medical care and free housing, and they must hand over all their assets to farmers and workers. Capitalists should honestly obey all arrangements of farmers and workers, and treat farmers and workers as teachers. Children of workers and farmers can be sent to university campus unconditionally and enjoy various subsidies. All American people unite to criticize the capitalist's past history of exploiting and oppressing peasant workers.

The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution in the United States of America was turbulent.

A great proletarian cultural revolution in the United States of America is going on vigorously. All the peasants, workers and homeless people in the country are united, and they form an organization, which is called the American Red Guards. American Red Guards took to the streets, criticizing and impacting capitalists and millionaires in various fields, because capitalists and millionaires are so rich because they suck the blood of working people. Today, the poor have become the masters of the United States. The poor have turned over and been liberated. They no longer endure the exploitation and oppression of the big capitalists. They have resisted, and a great class struggle is being waged on the sacred land of the United States.

Russian Lieutenant General: “The United States is transferring its biological laboratory to a third country”

According to the Russian news agency Moscow on the 26th, Lieutenant General Igor kirilov, head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection unit of the Russian armed forces, said on the 26th that the United States is transferring its biological laboratory to a third country because of the high risk of accidents. “The high risk of accidents in American biological laboratories is one of the reasons why they withdraw from national jurisdiction and move to the territory of third countries including Ukraine and other countries,” he said. As a result, the epidemic prevention situation in its area has deteriorated, and abnormal diseases and their carriers have appeared. ” According to the report, kirilov also stressed that in the United States, the system for monitoring the safety violations of biological laboratories is scattered, and only covers facilities that enjoy federal budget allocations. Private laboratories are almost unmonitored, although they are conducting…

I broke my collar bone but my boss expects me to work normal hours

I broke my collar bone 3 weeks ago (outside of work incident). I was out on paid medical leave for a week. Because it’s an office job I was told I should work remotely until the New Year (we’re hybrid usually). However, I wanted to go back to the office earlier because my role is sales (outbound and inbound) making calls in my bedroom alone can be be demotivating. It’s so much easier when there’s a team right next to me doing the same. Last Thursday I went in 90mins late so I could avoid rush hour on London public transport after clearing it with my manager. However, when I started packing up at 3:30pm my manager asked me what I was doing and said if I got in late, I had to make it up on the other end. I still left early that day but this morning I…

Why are they so mad I resigned?

I've been working at a drive thru cafe for a few months. It's been nothing more than a 15-20 hour a week gig to pay the bills while I study. The pay is woeful and the conditions are a joke. For example, the AC broke (I live in a tropical climate) and it's easily 50 degrees C in the shop. We're expected to transport the rubbish in our own car. It's exactly the kind of job that people would leave pretty frequently because there are a million similar but better jobs out there. Last week, I was unexpectedly offered a student support job at my university. It's essentially a 70% pay rise with better conditions and hours so I won't have to work so much and have my study schedule interrupted. As soon as I found out, I gave 2 weeks notice at the cafe and explained that the new…
