PSA: Consultations with a lawyer are almost always free

It seems like every day on this sub there’s some heinous possibly or likely illegal behavior from an employer. The advice here is a lot better than it is on r/jobs (for instance stand up for yourself/quit etc.). However it also tends to understandably border on the nihilistic. Employment is at will, they can fire you for anything blah blah. Well you should be aware you DO have rights even in the most backward states. Google employment lawyer in your area and see if you might have a nice little payday in your back pocket. No doubt the scales are tipped drastically against employees, but sometimes you may have a case, and lawyers will want to help if there’s money to be made. Keep up the good fight!
