For anonymity, will say that I work at a workplace which got a new boss recently. She immediately is trying to demonstrate she is in control and name dropping random books.
Worst offense is that she quoted that bullshit book, radical candor.
The only instances I have seen that book being used is by people clearly in position of asymmetric power and were either ignorant or obliviously unaware of their power dynamic. The book originally barely passable in its original format and since has been bastardized by pompous asses to give themselves a free license to be a complete moron. Like no, I don’t need your candor, I need you to maintain professional etiquette and decorum appropriate to workplace.
Anyways, how do I fuck with them? Need HR friendly advice please!
