The recruiters don’t know…

I work for a large accounting firm in tax. However I am not a tax accountant and mostly drum up new business and keep billing and other processes running. My title is simply, “Manager, Tax”. I get constant messages from recruiters on LinkedIn trying to fill open tax positions elsewhere, them not knowing I'm completely unqualified. I recently decided to do my part to fight the good fight and now I respond to all of them the same way: “Thanks for reaching out regarding this opportunity. With the the recent shift to alternative work arrangements, I am solely looking for opportunities which have the flexibility to be 100% remote. Please give  feedback to your organization that the best talent should be able to dictate where they work.  Best of luck filling the position.”
