Just had a really chill job, was told the first day I came in, being about ten minutes early, that being a little late occasionally wouldn’t be a huge deal so long as I came. Learned everything rapidly, but had little chance to actually show I could do the job as they never really let me. Then I finally get scheduled an afternoon shift. I wake up and see I’m going to be late as I set my alarm for pm instead of am. I call ahead, and rush over without eating. Only 15 minutes late. Told once again, it’s not a big deal. Next day, I’m emailed that due to being late, I was being let go. Makes me think they just didn’t care for me, considering they didn’t even talk to me in person about it.
So I’m curious on your worst fired stories. Are they worse? Or was I really just at fault here?
