I find this so ridiculous. Even in Amazon the higher ups never really given a shit if you were 1-3 mins late from your break. I work in a call centre and being 1-2 minutes late you get a message from one of the managers saying “where are you, you are late” or something along the lines of that. Being warned the times I am late is being monitored. I feel like I'm in school, but even in school the teachers were a bit more relaxed. Foolish me thought I could take a quick piss before going back to the desk, but i needed to go to my desk, change my status to unauthorized break and then go for a piss. Silly me, I should piss myself for the team Surely a 3 mins grace period makes sense in a lot of workplaces? That's how it's worked where Ive been…
I work for a rental business and had been told that my position was no longer available? Of course it’s not I’m in the position. Apparently my boss says “we found someone with a much higher skill set so he’s taking your job” and when I went to hire ups. Was told my only option was to work the dead end position (literally sitting in a wash bay cleaning equipment all day everyday) or resigning So I figured I’d stick it out won’t let them win. Well they have just been collectively treating me like shit because they don’t want to explain to HR how desperate they are for help but they put everyone at the bottom I’m not the only one me and 3 others are quitting. After we put in our 2 week notice we have completely become outcasts I’ve taken pictures and videos of the treatment around…

We aren’t the only ones
Just saw a post on here about a horse refusing to be ridden. It begs the question, Can we finally consider the plight of non human animals, without mocking those who do try to help. It’s intrinsically linked to capitalism.
I recently posted about a strange rash that appeared on me the day before I was fired. This is kinda an update but also a vent. I saw a doctor, my pcp, she said it's eczema. Fine okay whatever. Got prescribed some stuff and it started clearing up. I worked at a retirement home so naturally i became family with some of the residents. I went to visit one over the weekend, so I didn't worry her too much about my disappearance. (I did have a coworker tell her the day I was fired). My rash was clearing up, infection was clearing up, I go over there. Was there maybe an hour. Now my rash is spreading again. It's now all over my left arm, on my thighs, and still spreading across my face. Either there is a chemical in the air that I'm allergic to or that place stresses…
In 1947 country/folk artist Merle Travis recorded a song that he had written called “Sixteen Tons”. The song was about working as a coal miner, and contained the following lines: You load sixteen tons, and what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt St. Peter don't you call me, 'cause I can't go I owe my soul to the company store The last two lines actually came from his father, who would often say “I can’t afford to die. I owe my soul to the company store.” Back in the days before unions, when companies had a death grip on workers, the coal mining companies didn't pay the miners in cash. They paid them with credits to the company store which carried groceries and household goods where the miners would buy what they needed. This guaranteed that every penny went right back into the company's pockets, and…
I work at a local McDonalds and we have ants all inside the buliding in two specific places. They were the little common black ants but I thought when a restraunt got bugs they are suppose to close due to that being a health risk and in general unsanitary conditions if it is attracting ants. If I am wrong I would like to know if I am correct on this matter though how would I go about fixing this issue?
