Honestly it’s giving me anxiety reading the conditions of employment, the maternity leave, the social care or lack there of, the face that health care is basically a mafia operation. It must feel like a constant weight on your shoulders. I can offer you nothing but massive digital hugs 🤗
So my wife has had a job for about a year and a half now, and she’s at the point where her manager has treated her badly enough to warrant my wife quitting. Everything from accusing her of stealing (she would never), to telling her she is dead weight despite her doing everyone’s job for them at times. Her manager has been verbally abusive, and doesn’t care about her work life balance at all, some nights my wife doesn’t get home until 11 PM even though she was promised the latest she would work is 5 PM when she was hired on. Since wintersemester applicationtime is starting for some unis/colleges(they are hochschule right?) On avere the pay per semester is around 400€ usually less. Unless ive missed something in terms of trap costs, this is laughable compared to what i see on this thread. I do almost nothing for the entire shift. My customers are few and far between, mostly elderly folks who need me to explain how their phone works. Seeing as I don't have a lot to do and that standing for that amount of time is painful, I sat. I first got told off for bringing one of the bulky chairs we have for customers on the other side of the desk, but “I was getting in the way of other workers.” So I bought my own small folding stool. For about 8 months I have been dealing with this narcissist, having my time off requests denied repeatedly, other people on staff quitting and not being replaced, and my work hours increased without any bump in pay, I went to my boss' office last week Friday and handed him my resignation letter and told I'm leaving the company. So I work at a factory of sorts in shipping (nobody can go in without a keycard), and it gets hot in there, so i decide to wear my hoodie on my waist, exposing my “non-brand” shirt. Management requires that we wear their brand monday-thursday, fridays it's fair game, wear whatever you want kinda thing. I don't abide by this rule, and the only way i got off scot-free so far was to wear a hoodie (also non-brand, but they don't pay much attention to that).
